A finished artwork from the “Sustained” series by Charlotte-based artist Chalice Meikle. There are luscious broad brushstrokes of cyan and yellow, mixed with a transparent purple layer seemingly poured onto the canvas and manipulated by gravity. Sometimes the process is where we can find stability rather than the end result.

Below are examples of styles and custom works for commissions. More samples can be viewed here. Pricing is formulated by $2 to $4 per square inch. The price variations include a fee for design time and material cost difference. Design time includes three one-hour consultations. Blocks of neon pink serve as highlights, while marks resembling pencil and round brush strokes fill in the rest of the face, creating shadow-like effects.

The price difference in digital vs printmaking is based on the price of the material and technique. Digital prints are priced $2 per square inch, and printmaking is priced at $4 per square inch. Printmaking is a much more invovled process that digita drawing.
